The bursary is open to students pursuing qualifications in the following areas:
- Engineering: Chemical, Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical.
- Environmental Management
- Financial Management
- Town and Regional Planning
- Trades: Electrician, Fitters, Millwright, and Plumbing.
- Water & Sewer Treatment Process Controller
Bursary Coverage and Duration
The Siza Water bursary offers the following benefits to successful applicants:
- Full tuition fees and prescribed textbook coverage.
- Funding is renewable annually for up to three years, provided students pass all their subjects each year.
Important: Students must reapply each year by submitting their academic results.
Eligibility Criteria – Bursary In Water And Infrastructure Management
Applicants must meet these requirements to qualify:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Reside within the Siza Water concession area in KwaZulu-Natal.
- Be in Matric or have completed it.
- Intend to study or currently studying full-time in one of the eligible fields.
- Be registered or provisionally accepted at a recognized South African tertiary institution.
- Achieve a minimum average of 65% overall and 65% in the intended study field.
- Have a household income of no more than R15 000 per month.
Preference: Applicants from historically disadvantaged groups, particularly females and Black students (African, Coloured, Indian), are strongly encouraged to apply.

- Siza Water Ballito Office: Rey Park House, Reyโs Place, Ballito, Durban.
- Siza Water Shakaskraal Office: Shop 3, Ushaka Square, Old Main Road, Shakaskraal.
- Available online or collect in person at the following offices:
- Compile the Required Documents (Certified Copies):
- South African ID document.
- Grade 11 final results, Matric results, or certificate.
- Recent academic transcript (if applicable).
- Proof of tertiary acceptance for the 2025 academic year.
- Proof of household income (payslips, affidavits, or grant documents).
- Statement of household income and expenses.
- Death certificate (if parents/guardians are deceased).
- Divorce certificate (if applicable).
- Proof of disability (if applicable).
- Original signed proof of residence from the Local Ward Councillor.

Closing Date: All applications must be submitted before 13 December 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.
