- Current academic record for those already in higher education.

- Parent(s) or guardian(s) payslip, employer letter, or tax return statement for self-employed individuals.
- If parents are unemployed, proof from the Department of Labour.
- Household Income Cap:
- Combined income must not exceed R160,000. If there are two or more students in the household, the cut-off is R200,000.
- Identification Documents:
- Certified copy of the applicant’s ID.
- Certified copies of parent(s) or guardian(s) IDs or death certificate(s), if applicable.
- Proof of Admission:
- Acceptance letter from a public higher education institution.
- Financial statement from the institution.
- Motivation Letter:
- Written motivation explaining why the applicant deserves financial assistance.
- Proof of Residence:
- Must clearly show the applicant’s name and address.
