Selection Criteria – STEM bursary in 2025

Students will be selected based on the MultiChoice external bursary policy, which prioritizes:

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria to be considered:

  1. Nationality: Must be a South African citizen.
  2. Academic Stage:
    • Currently in Matric (Grade 12) in 2024, or
    • Have completed Matric.
  3. Field of Study: Must be studying or intending to study full-time in one of the listed critical fields.
  4. Level of Study:
    • Be a first-time undergraduate or postgraduate student (Honours and Masters).
  5. Academic Achievement:
    • Achieve a minimum of 75% in Matric, OR
    • Achieve a minimum of 65% if currently studying.
  6. Institution: Be studying or registered/intend to register at a recognized higher learning institution in South Africa.
