Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Scholarship

Scholarship Application Requirements:

1. Applicant must be a current Grade 6 learner in the year of application.
2. Applicant must be a South African citizen.
3. Applicant must not be older than 12 years of age and not younger than 11 years of age in Grade 6.
4. Applicant must demonstrate financial need.
5. Applicant must obtain a minimum of 70% for both English and Mathematics.

Application Process:

1. Submit Application:

• Applicants can either submit a hard copy of the application form with supporting documentation or apply online.

1. Foundation Exam:

• Successful applicants will be required to write the Foundation exam in Mathematics and English for Grade 6.

1. Interviews:

• After the Foundation exam, successful candidates will be invited for interviews.

1. Placement School Interviews:

• Recommended candidates will be invited to interviews at placement schools.

1. Scholarship Award:

• Candidates whose recommendations are approved by the placement schools will be awarded the Scholarship.
• Upon award, the Foundation, placement school, and Scholar’s custodian will sign a Memorandum of Agreement.
