The Institute of Municipal Engineering of Southern Africa (IMESA) is excited to invite South African students to apply for their Bursary Programme for the 2025 academic year. This opportunity is designed to support students pursuing qualifications in Civil Engineering and related disciplines.

Bursary Types and Coverage

IMESA will be awarding two types of bursaries:

  1. Bursary Scheme A (for non-IMESA members): This scheme is for students studying towards a Civil Engineering qualification or a related discipline of infrastructure engineering approved by the Executive Council of IMESA.
  2. Bursary Scheme B (for dependents of IMESA members): This scheme is for children of IMESA members studying towards a Civil Engineering qualification or a related discipline of infrastructure engineering.

The bursary will cover tuition fees and books, up to a maximum value of R50,000.
