Tongaat Hulett Sugar South Africa is accepting applications for 2025 academic year bursaries.

The 2025 Bursary for a Diploma in Agriculture, in partnership with Owen Sitole and Cedara College of Agriculture, is NOW OPEN for applications!
This is your chance to secure funding for the 2025 academic year and take a big step toward building a successful career in agriculture. We’re on the lookout for driven and talented individuals who are ready to make an impact in the field!
Qualifications
- Applicants must have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) having obtained a minimum of 24 points as per the rating system.
- Candidates are required to have applied at Owen Sitole or Cedara College of Agriculture for the 2025 Academic year.
Applicants much obtain a minimum:
- Level 4 (50% – 59%) in English
- Level 3 (40% – 49%) in Core Maths or Level 6 (70% – 79%) in Maths Literacy
- Level 4 (50% – 59%) in the following subjects: Geography, Life Science and Physical Science.
- Level 4 (50% – 59%) in Agricultural Science.
- At least a Level 4 in Life Orientation (Calculated as half)
Eligibility
- They must be residents in the Tongaat Hulett cane catchment areas and/or communities associated with Tongaat Hulett through the Land Reform process.
What the Bursary covers
- Training of 10 youth who wish to further their studies in Agriculture through the Owen Sitole or Cedara College of Agriculture for a 3-year Diploma to Plant Production, Animal Production, or Agro-Processing.
- Tuition; Accommodation and Meals Fee provided
