About Glencore Bursary
Glencore Coal SA is accepting applications for 2005 academic year bursaries.
Candidates are invited to apply for Bursary opportunities that are offered by the Company in the following disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Financial Services
- Metallurgy
To be considered for the opportunities, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12.
- Minimum of a 6 symbol for Mathematics and Physical Science and as per Institution’s requirements for Engineering fields.
- Minimum of a 5 symbol for Mathematics and Physical Science for technical fields.
- Average year mark of 60% and above for 2nd or 3rd year students.
- A CV with your Grade 12 Certificate or latest academic transcript from the University if you are already studying at a University.
- Preference will be given to applicants residing in the local communities where Glencore Coal Operations South Africa are located – proof of residence to be submitted with application.
- Applicants already supported by another organisation/company will not be considered.
- Selection will be in line with the Employment Equity requirements of the Company
- Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to assessment and interviews as part of the selection process.

- Tuition fees.
- Meals and accommodation.
