Economics bursaries

Economics bursaries. FASSET is currently accepting applications for 2025 academic year Accounting and IT bursaries. Bursaries will be for studies within the Finance and Accounting Services (FAS) Sector, as well as Information Technology (IT) related qualifications and other national critical skills.

FASSET Bursaries 2024 for Young South Africans

Bursaries are available for studies in various fields, including

  • Actuarial Sciences,
  • Accounting Sciences,
  • Auditing,
  • Economic Management Sciences,
  • Information Technology (IT)-related qualifications,
  • Taxation, and more.

Eligibility Criteria: Economics bursaries

  1. Requirements:
    • Must be unemployed.
    • Must have completed Matric.
    • Must be studying or intend on studying towards a qualification within the specified fields in 2024.
    • Must be studying or registered to study at a Public University, University of Technology, or TVET College in South Africa.
    • Total household income must not exceed R660,000 per annum.
  2. Expenses Covered:
    • Tuition fees.
    • Textbooks.
    • Accommodation.
    • Learner allowances/ meal allowance.

How to apply: Economics bursaries

  1. Application Forms:
  2. Supporting Documentation:
    • ID document (certified copy) (not older than 6 months).
    • Highest Qualification & Academic record (certified copy).
    • Proof of registration and acceptance at an approved tertiary institution (stamped/signed).
    • Parents or guardians ID documents (certified copies).
    • Parents or guardians proof of household income (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, proof of pension or grant if applicable).
    • Proof of address.
    • Completed FASSET 2025 Unemployment Declaration Letter.

Note:

  • Closing Date: 15 February 2024 (at 23:59 midnight).
  • Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted. Please apply before the closing date to ensure your application is considered.
