About Agricultural Research Council Bursary
The ARC seeks to equip young graduates with knowledge of, skills in, and exposure to the Agricultural field (plant science, animal sciences, biotechnology, engineering, and Economics) and related fields by providing bursaries to currently registered or prospective students studying toward a masters degree in any South African University.

Minimum Bursary Requirements
- Honours Degree in Agricultural Sciences or related field
- Registered or accepted to study for Masters’ qualification in Agricultural Sciences or a related field in a South African University.
Terms
- The bursary will be payable in 12 monthly instalments after signing a contract; students will be expected to settle their study fees, accommodation, transport, food, and/or any other expenses.
- Students will be allocated a mentor from the ARC to assist them with real-life research projects for their studies.
- Students will be expected to attend workplace training during academic holidays or times discussed with the mentor.
- Payment of the bursary award will depend on submitting a valid proof of registration.
VALUE OF BURSARY PER ANNUM
- Masters: R 140 000 Non-Taxable
