Volkswagen South Africa invites qualifying student to apply for Bursary Programme 2025 academic year.
Bursary Application Closing Date: 30 September 2024
You need to be studying full-time in 2025 to qualify.
What will the Bursary include?
- Fees โ Registration/Tuition, accommodation, meals, books and stationery;
- Vacation work;
- Mentoring and developmentย
- Additional study support where regarded appropriate
- Laptop provided for study purposes.
OBLIGATIONS: You are obligated to work-back for every year of funding provided by VWGA, otherwise you may have to refund the value of the bursary benefits received.
Any applicant or awardee later revealed to not be studying full-time or having paid employment, will have their bursary contract/offer terminated and will be required to refund all benefits paid to them by the bursary.
Who can apply
The bursary programme will be aimed at candidates who meet the following criteria:
- All students registered for full-time studies at any DHET/CHE accredited tertiary Institution, in 2025.ย
- This opportunity ISย NOT OPEN TO Masters/Doctoral students.ย
- South African Citizen
- Students registering/registered as 2025 full time undergrad students may apply in the following fields of study: Mechatronics;ย Mechanical Engineering;ย Electrical Engineering; Industrial Engineering; Information Technology; Software Development / Computer Science; or Data Sciences.
- Academic performance: Grade 12: Bachelorโs Pass with a minimum average of 70%. Tertiary level: A minimum average of 65%.
- Depending on application stage, candidates may be required to undergo screening, shortlisting, interview, and psychometric assessments.
- Preference will be given to applicants from Designated Groups, in line with VWGAโs Transformation objectives and Employment Equity Plan.
