Job Advert Summary
Grade 12 / Matric qualification essential. At least 2 years working experience in an emergency contact centre environment will be an advantage. Demonstrates sound knowledge in the CAD system and working experience with the EMS environment. Basic knowledge and application of emergency care. Builds trusting relationships and collaborates with and supports colleagues in order to achieve shared goals. Strives to identify and deliver on client’s needs, keeping client informed and focusing on client experience. Upholds high ethical, confidentiality and professional standards. Ability work accurately by attending to all detail. Demonstrates sound knowledge and competence of MS Office Suite.
Receives, prioritize and log emergency calls and non-emergency calls from the public and to determine the appropriate level of EMS assistance. Adheres to protocol and and provides caller with basic instructions to saferguard persons in hazardous conditions prior to arrival of EMS crew and transfer the caller to the Support Resource Officer and Case Manager.
